DRIVE SAFETY

Should roll like silk across the sprockets.

  • Remember there are hundreds of wear points, every tooth on the sprockets, and every roller on the chain.
  • The chain should always look damp.
  • Chain should always be adjusted to manufactures specifications.
  • How can you tell, increased noise, visible kinks, discoloration, excess side to side play and excess gapping at rear of wheel sprocket (since it is secured by the teeth, it is stretching in a very short area).
  • *Should be free of excess wear on chain blocks and rollers.
