Cycle Gear has been helping out riders of all ages since we opened our doors in 1974. Our Cycle Gear Racing program has worked with riders in regional, national, and international competitions.

Today we feature 16 year old Andrew Lee from Clovis, California.

Andrew Lee shows off some recent hardwareAndrew first threw a leg over at the ripe old age of 6 and has not looked back since. He started his racing with flat track and quickly grabbed some attention. He was selected to race in the KTM Junior Challenge in 2008 where he was up against some of the best riders in the country. It was also in 2008 that he got a taste of supermoto racing.

Between 2009 and 2012 Andrew continued his dominance in supermoto winning multiple championships and rarely finishing off the podium.

In 2013 Andrew tried his hand at road racing with WERA West earning a 2nd place overall in the 250 class.

2014 found Andrew picking up speed (literally) as he competed in both the WERA West and AFM series on a 600. It was a steep learning curve, but running with some of the fastest riders on the west coast has paid off.

Andrew Lee powers through turn 14 at ThunderhillAndrew is currently leading the points in the AFM 750 Production class and second in points in 600 Production. This weekend he is traveling to Utah to compete with MotoAmerica at Miller Motorsports Park.

Follow Andrew’s progress this weekend with MotoAmerica Live timing.
